This half term will be jam packed with English, maths, geography, science, music, art and not to mention Christmas! We have so much learning and exciting activities to fit in.
In English we will be starting off with shape poetry, writing our own poems and performing these. We then move onto 'The lighthouse keeper's lunch' and complete work around fiction and story writing.
In maths we will be starting with addition and subtraction focussing on the column method. We then move onto work around length and data handling.
In geography we will be learning about renewable energy and looking at how this has changed the landscape in the midlands more recently. We will be looking at different counties and cities across the UK too. We will also be finding out about human features and physical features throughout the UK and mapping some of these out.
In science we will be learning all about light sources and shadows. We will learn about reflection and how we see things. Using different materials we will investigate if they are transparent, translucent or opaque. We will also investigate what makes some shadows longer than others.
