Session 3 - Wednesday 3rd February 2021 - Combining two groupsPause the video as you need to so you count how many spots are on each of the ten frames. Remember to try to be as quick as you with this part. Pause the video on the picture that has been changed. Can you use a ten frame (ask your grown up to draw you one of these) and different counting objects to combine the two amounts of flowers, birds and frogs just like you were shown in the video. How many do you have altogether?
Session 2: Making pairs with 6, 7 and 8 Tuesday 2nd February 2021Pause the video as you need to so you can tell Miss Cooper how many spots are on her ten frames. Remember to try to be as quick as you with this part. Pause the video while you count the amount of children each time. Activity: Collect some objects from a walk or from around your house. Try and collect a group of 6 objects, a group of 7 objects and a group of 8 objects. With each set of objects can you make pairs? (remember pairs are sets of two). Talk about what you notice.
Session 1: Matching 6,7 and 8- MONDAY 1ST FEBRUARY 2021Ask your adult to draw you some ladybirds like in the activity today for you to use. You will need to match the ladybirds with the same amounts of dots. The dots on the ladybirds might be laid out differently but when you count them if they have the same amount of dots then you have made a pair. Please send us a photograph of the pairs you found.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
