Monday 8th February 2021 - Session 1: Representing and Sorting 9 and 10;Pause the video when you see the four pictures to try to spot 9. Can you find the objects showing 9? Repeat by pausing the video when you see the new pictures to find 10. Can you find the objects representing 10? Collect some objects to show 9 and 10. You could place these in a tens frame like on the video. What do you notice when you place them in a tens frame? Can you spot the number 9 or 10 anywhere around your house or outside? You could also have a go at writing the numbers 9 and 10 too! Send us a photo of your work today.
Tuesday 9th February 2021 - Session 2 - Representing and Sorting 9 and 10Pause the video as you need to throughout the lesson especially as you are shown the picture cards in front of the number 9 and 10 buckets. This will give you time to count the images on the cards to see which bucket the cards belong to. For the next part of the lesson your grown up will need to have some pictures of objects showing 9 and 10 today for you to sort. They can draw these for you. Sort the picture cards into pictures showing 9 and pictures showing 10. just like on the video. Remember to count carefully.
Wednesday 10th February 2021 - Session 3 - Ordering Numerals to 10Help to order the number cards on the video by saying which number comes next and pointing to this. Can you spot the changes that the cheeky Kangaroo has made to our number line? Using number cards you have at home or number cards your grown up has made, can you make your own number line by ordering the number cards? Ask your grown up to be the cheeky kangaroo and change some of the numbers in your number line when you aren't looking. Can you correct your number line?
Thursday 11th February 2021 - Session 4 - Composition of 9 and 10Ask your grown up to draw you 10 black circles. Use your black circles to create a picture, you could make a train like in the video or anything of your choice. Remember to only use 10 dots. If you wanted to you could do another picture using 9 black dots. Dend us a picture of your creation. Remember to double check you have the correct amount of dots.
