Tuesday 9th February -Session 5 (Consolidation)One more and one less Gather together 5 objects and either a bag or a bucket to hide them in. Start by hiding a number of objects and then add one more or take one out. Can you work out how many objects are hiding now? Once you have made your prediction, count the objects to check.
Wednesday 10th February -Session 5 (Consolidation)Set up a teddy bears picnic and gather some food or objects to share. Explore sharing the food or objects between 2 teddies. Do both teddies have the same? Or does one teddy have more or fewer? Now have a go at sharing between 3 teddies.
Thursday 11th February -Session 5 (Consolidation)Collect a set of objects and count how many you have altogether. Give a friend some of the objects and hide the rest in a bucket or box. Can your friend work out how many objects you have hidden? Change the number of objects and the number hidden each time. Then take it in turns to work out how many are hidden.
Friday 12th February -Session 2 (Length) Use playdough/cut paper to make snakes of different lengths. You can line them up or use household objects to compare the lengths. Can you arrange your snakes in order from shortest to longest? Key Vocabulary: short, shorter, long, longer, shortest, longest, more, fewer
