A prime area of the EYFS Curriculum is Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED). This includes: Making Relationships, Self-confidence and Self-awareness and Managing Feelings and Behaviour. PSED involves helping children to develop a positive sense of themselves, and others; to form positive relationships and develop respect for others; to develop social skills and learn how to manage their feelings; to understand appropriate behaviour in groups; and to have confidence in their own abilities. At King Edward, we support this through learning and play by building on children's confidence, knowledge and behaviours. We also provide input on PSHE/circle time to broaden children's understanding of feelings.
