Understanding the World is a specific area of the EYFS Curriculum. Understanding the world involves guiding children to make sense of their physical world and their community through opportunities to explore, observe and find out about people, places, technology and the environment. This area covers: Science, Geography, History, ICT and RE. At King Edward, these sessions are delivered through a weekly UTW lesson and continuous provision. F2 provide activities for children to investigate and explore through their senses and curiosity. Forest School sessions are delivered weekly to provide activities for children to explore and understand their natural environment.
