Year 4 Autumn Curriculum Overview
This term, Year 4 will be diving into a rich and varied programme of learning.
In History, the children will explore the fascinating world of Ancient Greece—finding out what life was like, learning about Greek gods and goddesses, and discovering how ideas such as democracy and the Olympic Games began.
Our Science learning begins with Animals Including Humans, where children will investigate the digestive system and learn about different types of teeth through hands-on activities and simple experiments. Later in the term, they will move on to Electricity, building circuits, testing materials, and learning how everyday electrical items work.
In French, the children will be building confidence in speaking and writing by learning to introduce themselves, talk about their feelings, ask and answer simple questions, and take part in short conversations.
Music this term is all about singing and performance. The children will learn a collection of songs, develop skills such as harmony and expression —ending the term with a festive carol concert.
