Maths
This term, we will begin by calculating with decimals, with a particular emphasis on multiplying and dividing before moving on to deepen this understanding by making links between decimals and percentages, including exploring key conversions.
Later on in the term, we will be moving on to units focused on algebra (including sequences and identifying missing values), data handling, such as reading and interpreting line graphs and pie charts and measurement, including converting units, calculating perimeter, area and volume and even beginning to explore ratio and scaling.
Throughout all of our maths learning, we will once again be maintaining a careful balance between practising our arithmetic skills and developing our reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
