RE and RSHE
Within our RE lessons this term, we will be exploring ‘Beliefs and Actions in the World’ including learning all about the spiritual concepts of justice, fairness, compassion and responsibility, as well as exploring at least 2 examples of major faith based global aid and development charities.
Within this unit, we will be considering social justice issues surrounding food production and FairTrade around the world, as well as human rights and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child - it promises to be a very thought-provoking unit!
We will also be deepening our understanding of what Sunday means to Christians and how practising Christians worship.
Within our RSHE lessons and class assemblies, we will be getting to grips with a range of 'Talking Points', as well as taking part in the Life Skills DAaRT course, focusing on drug, alcohol and knife crime awareness. Throughout these topics, we will be engaging with some fabulous activities and producing some thought-provoking and reflective pieces of work.
