It is never to early to talk to your child!
Good speaking and listening skills are crucial to child development. They support children to make friendships and share positive experiences, they also support their well-being and mental health.
It is important that you talk to your child all of the time. You can talk to them before they are born! They will be able to hear the rhythms and tone of your voice! Watch carefully and you will see they are listening! You will be showing them important skills they need to learn to talk!
Spending quiet time is a valuable experience, this including no distractions of a TV, radio or any other form of technology. Try to be face to face and at eye level with your child. They may even copy your facial movements!
