Science
At King Edward’s Primary School, we recognise the relevance of Science to daily life. We aim to provide all children with a strong understanding of the world around them whilst obtaining specific skills geared towards working scientifically and building upon their scientific knowledge. Science is delivered with a ‘hands on’ approach, allowing the children to apply their growing knowledge to practical investigations and enquiries and to work like scientists. There is an emphasis on vocabulary and children are encouraged to use scientific terminology when communicating their ideas. We hope to inspire curiosity and excitement about the world we live in and to encourage children to use and develop a broad range of skills when working scientifically.
