AutumnTerm Reflect, Repel, Remember
Our first topic of the year is titled 'Reflect, Repel, Remember' The Reflect is for the Science unit of light in which we will learn all about light and shadows including how to make our shadows grow and what material transmits light the best, transparent, translucent or opaque? Repel is for our second Science unit all about Magnets, where we look at the 2 poles of a magnet, what is magnetic and what attracts and repels from magnets. Our final word is Remember and this is linked to our History all about Mining in Mansfield. How did mining affect our local community? What was life like for children who worked in coal mines? What is the timeline for mining in the UK? We will answer these questions and many more.
