Welcome to Reception (F2)

New Starters for September 2020

Firstly, we would like to say hello to all of our new families and those families who may be returning with their younger children. Due to the current uncertainty around schools, we have created this webpage to support all of our new starters for September 2020.

This page will be used to provide parents and carers with relevant information for their child, due to start in our Reception (F2) classes in September 2020. Please keep checking back on this page for the latest developments and information.

We would usually invite you to attend an initial meeting. These meetings are arranged to give you information of the practical aspects of your child starting full time education. The second part of the induction process is for you to bring your child to school to meet the teachers and to see their new classroom. Lastly, children are invited to spend three mornings in school with other children in their new class and their teachers. However, due to the current situation regarding Covid19 we are being creative and developing new ways to share information with our new families.

We are working hard to ensure the very best start for your child at our school. It is such an exciting adventure to begin your learning journey in Reception (F2) so we have created our very own 'Welcome to your new classroom' video and powerpoint for you to watch and share with your child to help them prepare for September. We can't wait to meet you!
